QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM
SM&T Inc. Quality Assurance Program SM&T has invested extensive resources to improve management controls and manage task orders while maintaining high-quality internal processes, communications, and procedures. In order to accomplish this, SM&T executives and management take an active role in monitoring the performance of all work performed, to the degree necessary to assure that work is of the highest quality and is completed on schedule and with-in budget. This is done without management layering and is largely transparent to our customers. Task status and any anticipated problems or issues are addressed during team meetings, and SM&T insures that corrective action is taken as necessary.
With over 24 years experience providing quality products and services, we know that the successful completion of a contract is largely determined by the Quality Assurance (QA) Program and task oversight. Our best results have come from continued implementation of our process improvement methodology and Quality Review Committees, overseen by our Contracts Manager. We establish a Quality Review Committee for each Task Team as the centerpiece of our Quality Assurance Program. At the Task level, the SM&T management approach for each task order specifies control procedures, in-process review milestones, and success criteria. SM&T’s Primary Program Manager ultimately manages all awarded task orders. He/She maintains close contact with each client to ensure that task progress is meeting expectations, and communicates results to SM&T Management and subcontractor personnel who are working the task order. We take pride in satisfying our customers by delivering products and services that meet their specified requirements and we are committed to continuously improving the processes by which we provide our products and services, so that our work meets and exceeds requirements. We initiate our quality assessments at the lowest levels and earliest stages of the work and seamlessly continue the process through delivery and acceptance. We respond to quality issues with immediate mitigation and long-term solution strategies that create repeatable quality processes and metrics tailored to the contract objective. We are committed to an intense hiring process that produces a highly qualified workforce dedicated to mission success and uncompromising commitment to providing our customers with quality technical products and services, while meeting the highest level of ethical standards and performance in their jobs. Quality at SM&T is everyone's job from start to finish and is not an after-thought.
